Finance – The majority of our Finance team works out of our Winnipeg Office, with some finance team members located in Rankin Inlet. We have multiple positions within our Finance team, from Finance Clerks to Accounts Payables – this team manages the purchase orders, invoices, collections and day to day transactions.
Human Resources – The HR department is a part of the Winnipeg Support Office and manages recruitment strategies, policy development, compensation and benefits, and employee relations.
Logistics – The Logistics department includes our Shipping, Receiving and Inventory departments. Based in Winnipeg, this department is responsible for ensuring that all goods are shipped timely and efficiently to our partners in the North. They package items, enter them into our inventory system and prepare items for shipping.
Procurement – Our procurement team is responsible for preparing purchase orders, negotiating contracts with suppliers and purchasing the highest quality merchandise to meet customer needs. We currently employ Procurement Officers and Assistants to acquire the right materials for our customers and business partners.
Trades – We have numerous opportunities for people in the skilled trades, in both a rotational fly-in fly-out capacity as well as in a permanent capacity. We employ Auto Service Technicians, Heavy Equipment Operators, Carpenters, Electricians, Plumbers and Oil Burner Mechanics.
Management – EPLS has many different areas of operations, and as such we rely on our highly experienced and skilled management team to support our day to day operations and the strategic vision and direction of the company. We employ Division Managers in Arviat, Rankin Inlet and Winnipeg, as well as support supervisors.
Training & Development – EPLS has partnered extensively with the Apprentice training program in the North. We recognize the importance of developing team members and actively support their growth and development through different training channels.
As a newcomer to Canada, I am grateful for the opportunity and trust that EPLS gave me when they hired me as part of their Human Resources Department. As if that was not enough, EPLS supported and encouraged my goal to learn and pursue a career in Canadian Payroll. They provided financial assistance for the required courses as well as offered special projects so I can gain hands-on experience necessary to become a Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner.
I want to thank the entire EPLS group for showing the generous support effort towards my education assistance. It is really important to acknowledge such contributions that help ease the financial burden of attending college. This award gives me an opportunity to gain knowledge about Operations Management, earn skills and implement them to be a better asset for the company.
